THE INITIAL test run of Global Flavors’ Global Express Fast & Clean Distillers Yeast has sold out.
CEO Keith Emms said this week he is very happy at the overall response to the test marketing exercise run for GLobal Flavors by Gold Coast marketing specialist John Wright, who runs social media marketing, eBay and website sales for Global Flavors.
As Keith explains, “We had a special strain of yeast developed for us, and it exceeded our expectations.”
“While not the rock bottom priced yeast on the market, Global Express is the Rolls Royce of distilling yeasts, so naturally it costs a little more than a few of the others.
“It’s the same as a Mercedes Benz costs more than a Toyota Corolla.”
Sales of Global Express Distillers Yeast have been very encouraging, with the test run selling out around twice as fast as expected.
“I think it’s not only the superb taste and lack of smell of the final neutral spirits, but also the fact that you don’t need to use clearing agents,” Keith said.
“Not to mention its wide range of operating temperatures – from 15°C to 35°C.”
“We’ve been shipping our Global Express all around Australia and throughout the world, with good sales in the USA, Canada and the UK,” he said.
Next step is to produce a commercial run of the yeast, a process which will take approxomately a month.
“We want to add some small enhancements to the yeast, and these have to be incorporated into the new strain,” Keith said.
The new batch of Global Express Fast & Clean Distillers Yeast will be available as soon as the new batch is completed.
Until next time… Happy Distilling!
