ANOTHER RECIPE from our Drinkers Gotta Eat series is this powerful smokey barbecue sauce straight from Keith’s kitchen to you.
This sauce features Global Flavors’ new Double Strength Liquid Toasted Oak Smoke… the only liquid smoke product you’ll ever need.
Our photo (above) shows the array of ingredients used to make Keith’s smokey BBQ sauce, with the exception of the lemon juice and balsamic vinegar, who were too shy for the photo shoot.
“I have a very basic recipe of putting the three stocks (Beef stock, Bone marrow, V8) together, separately brown the onions and garlic in some olive oil, place in with the stocks and reduce.
“If you must thicken it, do so with either rice or corn flour… NEVER use wheat flour,” Keith says.
Keith then seasons his sause to taste with the soy, salt, the Double Strength Liquid Toasted Oak Smoke, lemon and vinegar.
“If you want it a bit more spicier, use some chilli if you’re inclined towards a bit more heat.
“I realise there’s a bit of work in making this sauce, but it gives layers of flavour and will never fail to impress your friends and family.
“It will last a couple of weeks in the fridge or better still, freeze it in small bags.”
Until next time… Happy Distilling!
